BCN Port Booking System

Barcelona Port is taking on a truck reservation system to regulate the access inside the Port Terminals. Increasingly, big volumes operations are concentrated in few hours (due to huge capacities of the new generation containers ships). Time zone reservation responds to international commerce`s demands, according to the Port Authority.

Before entering the port terminal, the trucking companies have to ask for a reservation to delivery or pick up the containers. The users can know their waiting time and the terminal capacity in real time.

Port Booking System is being introduced in several steps from 17th September. In this firts step, reservation is compulsory, but they can go anytime to the Terminal.
